PRIVACY POLICY
This is Catalis' (“Catalis”) Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applicable to KYDPP.com, a web site (“Site”) used to access Kentucky’s statewide deferred deposit transaction database (“Database”) pursuant to Kentucky Revised Statutes Chapter 286.9.010 et seq. (the “Act”).
Catalis takes its responsibility of safeguarding your personal privacy very seriously; we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of your personal information. We protect your personal information from loss or misuse through the use of industry-recognized security safeguards that meet or exceed federal requirements for information safety and security including the prevention of identity theft.
KYDPP.com is an on-line service of Catalis that allows Licensed Deferred Deposit Service Businesses (“Licensees”) to validate customer eligibility pursuant to the Act and regulations promulgated thereunder by the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions (“DFI”), and provide for the tracking of information regarding all deferred deposit transactions. Catalis is a third party, privately held company under contract with the Commonwealth of Kentucky to operate the Database on behalf of the DFI.
Privacy and security are our highest priority - ensuring lawful electronic access to the Database while maintaining privacy is a guiding principle of our program. Personal data in our possession is maintained and used in ways that respect individual privacy. Catalis educates its employees about the importance of protecting personal information and privacy, and only authorized employees of Catalis and the DFI have access to Borrower Identification Data (“BID”). The purpose of this Policy is to notify you of:
1. What personally identifiable information is collected through the Site;
2. The organization collecting the information;
3. How the information is used;
4. With whom the information may be shared;
5. The kind of security procedures that are in place to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of information under our control;
6. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
If you feel that we are not abiding by the Policy, please contact Catalis Customer Service by e-mail at
mail@catalisgov.com.
If you fill out the "Contact Us" form, your name and other identifying information will not be sold or shared with any person or organization (other than the DFI). Your e-mail address or telephone number may be used by authorized Catalis or the DFI’s employees to contact you concerning your comments, questions or complaints.
When a Licensee enters your BID into the Database, we use the information to determine your eligibility for a deferred deposit transaction (“transaction”) pursuant to the Act. We inform the Licensee that you are either eligible or ineligible for a transaction.
The information contained in the Database is authorized by the Act. Your information and the results of the eligibility determination may also be used by the DFI for purposes consistent with the Act. We do not sell or rent information to third parties for marketing programs or for any other purpose other than that authorized under the Act.
When a Licensee presses the "Submit" button and your information is provided to Catalis, Catalis will process the information through the Database and will return an appropriate response to the Licensee. KYDPP will also treat information sent indirectly (via either the IVR, Interface, email, fax and phone) to Catalis by a Licensee in the same manner it treats information submitted directly through the Site.
The Site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Catalis uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to safeguard your sensitive personal information during on-line transactions. Using this widely accepted form of encryption, your transaction information is secured from a Licensee’s personal computer to the Catalis computers processing your transaction. Catalis' processing computers are located behind a secure firewall. This method protects your information.
This notice should not be construed in any way as guaranteeing, or warranting as fail proof, the security of information exchanged between Licensees and Catalis. Any changes to this Policy will be communicated through the KYDPP.com Site at least 30 days in advance of implementation. Information collected before changes are made will be secured according to the Policy in effect prior to the change.
We strive to ensure that the personal information we have maintained about you is accurate, current, and complete. We will respond to your request to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner. If you find that your personal account information is incomplete, inaccurate, or not current, you should contact Catalis to update your information by clicking on the “Contact Us” link on the Web Site for our contact information.
